VOLTRA TRADING / Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 April 2026  ·  Voltra Trading ApS, Copenhagen, Denmark

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Voltra Trading platform, website, and all associated services (collectively, the "Platform") operated by Voltra Trading ApS ("Voltra", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Denmark.

By applying for access, registering an account, or using any part of the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Nature of the Service

Voltra Trading is a technology and education platform. We provide a simulated trading environment built on a proprietary European power market dataset curated by Voltra from multiple third-party data providers. No real capital is deployed on any energy exchange on your behalf. All trading activity on the Platform is simulated.

Voltra Trading ApS is not a bank, investment firm, broker, or financial adviser. We do not provide investment advice. Participation in the Platform does not constitute financial trading in any regulated sense. Payouts to funded traders are disbursed from Voltra Trading's own operating reserves based on verified simulated account performance — they are not derived from real market positions.

2. Eligibility

To use the Platform you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Not be resident in a jurisdiction where participation in such services is prohibited by law.
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • Not be acting on behalf of a sanctioned individual or entity under EU, UN, or Danish law.

We reserve the right to refuse access to any applicant at our sole discretion and without obligation to provide a reason.

3. Account Registration and Application

Access to the Platform is by application only. Submitting an application does not guarantee access. We review applications manually and reserve the right to approve or reject any application. Upon approval you will receive an invitation link to set your password and access the Platform.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately at support@ampiontrading.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. You may not share your account with any third party.

4. Free Sandbox Environment

Upon approval, all traders receive free access to a sandbox account funded with a simulated EUR 10,000 allocation. The sandbox environment uses real-time market data and is provided free of charge, with no time limit. You may use the sandbox to develop, test, and refine your algorithm before committing to a paid evaluation.

5. Evaluation Programme

The evaluation programme allows traders to demonstrate their algorithm's performance under simulated live conditions over a 28-day window. To begin an evaluation, a one-time non-refundable fee of EUR 199 is charged. This fee covers 28 days of platform infrastructure and real-time market data access — it is not a deposit and is not refundable under any circumstances.

To pass the evaluation, your algorithm must meet all of the following criteria over the 28-day window:

  • Sharpe Ratio greater than 1.0 on your daily P&L series (annualised).
  • Positive cumulative net P&L at the close of the evaluation window.
  • Orthogonal alpha greater than zero, measured as returns independent of the consensus of all traders' forecasts.
  • Valid submissions resulting in at least one filled delivery hour on 20 or more of the 28 days ("filled days").
  • Forecast-accuracy criterion as published on the platform, met by the close of the evaluation window.

Drawdown limits are flat during the evaluation: a EUR 500 daily loss cap measured from 00:00 CET equity, and a EUR 1,000 total loss cap measured from the EUR 10,000 starting balance. Breach of either limit at any point during the evaluation results in automatic termination. You may begin a new evaluation at any time by paying the EUR 199 fee again, subject to the 24-hour cooldown set out in the Trader Agreement.

If all criteria are met at the close of the 28-day window, your account is automatically upgraded to a funded status.

6. Funded Accounts

Upon passing the evaluation, you will be granted a funded simulated account. The allocated capital amount will be communicated to you upon funding. All funded account activity remains simulated — no real capital is deployed on any exchange.

Funded traders are entitled to a profit split of 70% of net simulated profits generated in each calendar month. Voltra Trading retains 30%. Payouts are processed on the first business day of each month for the preceding month's performance. A minimum payout threshold of EUR 200 applies. Profits below this threshold are carried forward to the following month.

Bank details for payout must be provided in the trader portal. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your payment details and for any applicable taxes on income received.

Funded account status may be revoked at any time if the maximum drawdown threshold is breached, if we detect manipulation, or for any breach of these Terms.

7. Algorithm and Intellectual Property

Voltra Trading never accesses, reads, copies, or stores your algorithm's source code. Your algorithm runs on infrastructure you control — your own machine, server, or cloud environment — and submits trading signals to our API. We only receive the signals themselves: order direction, size, market, and timestamp.

By using the Platform, you grant Voltra Trading a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use anonymised and aggregated signal data (not source code) for internal platform research, risk management, and product development purposes. Individual strategies and their parameters are never disclosed to third parties.

The specific terms governing intellectual property rights to trading algorithms are set out in the Trader Agreement provided upon funded account activation. You should read that agreement carefully before activating a funded account.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Attempt to manipulate evaluation results through artificial trading patterns, account coordination, or exploiting platform latency.
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract proprietary data from the Platform.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent evaluation rules or bans.
  • Share, sell, or transfer your account to any third party.

Breach of any of the above will result in immediate account termination with no refund of any fees paid.

9. Fees and Payments

All fees are quoted in EUR. The EUR 199 evaluation fee is charged at the time you elect to begin an evaluation. It is non-refundable. We accept payment via the methods displayed at checkout. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, bank charges, or currency conversion fees.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the uninterrupted availability of the Platform, the accuracy of market data, or the fitness of the Platform for any particular purpose. Simulated past performance does not guarantee future simulated or real-world trading results.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Danish and EU law, Voltra Trading ApS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or manipulation, regulatory requirements, or at our sole discretion. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@ampiontrading.com. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any fees paid.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
